Luigi Benzoni

Luigi Benzoni was born in Castelgomberto, Vicenza, Italy, in 1032. He studied at art schools in Verona and Venice. He is a sculptor in various materials, ceramics, glass, marble, wood, bonze, aluminum, etc. His large sculptures are placed in spectacular places where they interact with the surrounding nature or architecture. Many of his exhibitions have taken place in historic cities of Italy and other parts in Europe. At the Biennale of Venice 1981 he made a cast iron installation on the bank of San Marco. Other open space sculptures include sites at the freeway close to Lyon, in the sculpture park at Villa Giori in Rome, on the Rotonda Maria Rosa Molas in Castellon de la Plana in Spain.
